Guild Rules

  1. Know the guild leadership structure and Follow it. Don't hassle the GM with a problem if its something that can be sorted by an officer. If it requires intervention by the GM, they will arrange it.

  2. Do not insult or antagonise your guildmates. A joke is a joke, however it is easy to go to far. Know when to back off and always apologise if you take things too far and offend somebody.

  3. If you simply must argue with a guildmate, Do it in tells or on a private vent channel - It might be very interesting, but its also very distracting.

  4. If you ask for help from the guild and do not receive it immediately, DO NOT get angry and abusive. Remember that members are often busy, AFK or otherwise unable to type.

Help from guild members is to be considered a bonus and NOT assumed. That said, if you ARE able to assist, it is in guild spirit to do so when you can - Remember its easier to ask for a favour when you are owed one.

  5. Spamming is to be kept to a minimum. A little playing around is ok but too much gets annoying and prevents important information from being relayed.

  6. Know the difference between advice and criticism, if you feel a guildmate is lacking in some way then think of a way to suggest improvement other than telling them that they suck. A suggested method on how they could go about doing so would make a good start.

  7. Teamwork, Teamwork, Teamwork! Show preference to guildmates when forming parties, selling items or offering services. If you are part of a PUG group and your guildmate is kicked, then leave the party. Help each other complete quests and instances, especially for attunements and keys. Every time you pull together and help a guildy out, you strengthen the guild as a whole.

That said, Please don't assume that a guildmate should give you items for free. Everyone needs cash, and while open giving of goods within a guild is a nice concept, we all know it doesn't work like that in practice. On the flip side of that, if you are charging a guildmate for a service, Be reasonable! scamming or overcharging your guildmates is just plain rude.

  8. DO NOT ASK TO ACCESS ANYONES ACCOUNT BUT YOUR OWN. Sharing your account with anybody but a loved one is a bad idea from the word go. (Even with a loved one they tend to spend all your gold on Shoes...) Pressuring another member to give you their details will result in action being taken.

  9. Represent your guild well. Flaming members of other guilds or picking on new players is to be kept to a near nonexistent minimum. Dueling somebody and then spamming your victory in general chat or spitting on your opponent and telling him he sucks IS NOT the reputation we are after. Treat people with respect.

  10. Don't slag off other guilds / players on public forums! If you want to slate other others we have a private forum for that. 'Bad Conduct' threads are always great popcorn reading, but not when you / your guild is in with the tussle. Stay an outsider - just read, chuckle and remember that this guild is better than that.

  11. If you join a PUG group please remember that the impression you give reflects on your guild as well as your self. Do not ninja or sabotage a group, EVER.

If you have to leave, then tell the group why and apologise (After all, you never can tell when your gran is going to come home with a KFC). Follow whatever rules are agreed upon at the start.

  12. When dealing with the Enemy please try to do so with a little class. Unless in a hurry to be somewhere, always try to face them when attacked.

If you do gank somebody , do it with Finesse and style. Do not spit on somebody and expect them to be happy about it.

If an enemy is being obnoxious it is a moral obligation keep killing him till he has learned a lesson.

  13. Pirates > ninja's!. Pirates may occasionally accidentally need something or loot something they shouldn't have. They apologize for it, make compensation, and make damn well sure it never happens again!

Ninjas however do it purposefully, they are unapologetic kleptomaniacs who will find themselves applying to other guilds in Quick time.

  14. The Ventrilo Server is owned and payed for by Badgerblade for the use of guild members and approved guests. No outside persons or characters may use this Ventrilo Server without the express approval of Badgerblade FIRST. Any member giving the server details and passwords to an unapproved users will cause excess work for glaw in removing them - (This doesn't go down at all well) - You may face removal from the guild - So Don't do it.

  15. Prior to the games launch we are fully aware that you may not be 'hyper-active' on vent or the forums - this is fine. However, it only takes 5-10 minutes a week to browse the forums, post on a couple of appropriate topics, or just let folks know that you aren't dead. ITS COMMON COURTESY WHEN JOINING A GUILD TO ACTUALLY JOIN IN!, if you cannot commit to this, then we may not be the guild for you.

Failure to post , appear on vent / irc at least once a fortnight will be considered an indication that you no longer wish to be a part of The Unnamed. (Holidays, Injury, sickness, computer failure, work absences are fine, just let us know somehow )

  16. Our loot and recruitment policies are always open to discussion - In private, and at an appropriate time. We don't intend to debate and argue in open forum sections, or in the middle of a raid.

Wait until later, and you will get a proper hearing.

  17. Cybering in public, Pretending your a different gender / age / Species, pretending to be someone famous will open yourself up to extreme ridicule. DON'T DO IT - you WILL get found out.
